Ardent Roofing System Annual Charity Golf Tournament details.

Your day will start with a delicious breakfast to give you the energy for 18 holes at one of Edmonton's most beautiful golf courses, the Ranch Golf & Country Club. Following breakfast, you will tee off at 8am to start your Texas Scramble day of golf including beverages, snacks and cool prizes! After your day of golf you will network with colleagues over an ice cold beverage while you shop the amazing silent auction items, and wrapping the day up with an incredible steak dinner from The Ranch's amazing culinary team. The whole day of amazing golf for you, and raising some much needed dollars for the Child Life Program at the Stollery Children's Hospital.

A clinic appointment, medical procedure, or hospital stay can be a stressful and traumatic experience for patients and families. The Child Life Team are educated and clinically trained in trauma reduction, in addition to the developmental impact of illness and injury. Their role helps improve patient and family care, satisfaction, and overall experience. Certification is awarded through the international professional organization, the Association of Child Life Professionals, after reaching a Bachelors or Masters Level of education, and completing an extensive clinical internship.

Certified Child Life Specialists help infants, children, youth and families cope with the stress and uncertainty of acute and chronic illness, injury, trauma, disability, loss and bereavement. They provide evidence-based, developmentally and psychologically appropriate interventions including therapeutic play, preparation for procedures, and education to reduce fear, anxiety, and pain.

Children get to experience an array of areas during their visit to the Stollery including: The Beach, Teen Room, Music Therapy & Pet Therapy.
